I liked this comment from Rachel Sylvester in The Observer: "There is an emotional intelligence that was lacking under Starmer, an easy charm that contrasts with the stiltedness of Theresa May, a discipline absent in Liz Truss, an energy missing in Rishi Sunak and a seriousness that was never shown by Boris Johnson."
Whether that's enough remains to be seen, we need the toughness and a plan, but it's not a bad start, certainly to get some initial buy-in from the public.
